Margaret Mary Vojtko was a galvanizing figure for many adjuncts/contingent/part-time educators when she passed in September of 2014.

Margaret Mary’s life was significant. Her death was shocking, and was literally a catalyst that brought adjunct equity issues front and center in popular media. It shook many adjuncts and contract educators out of their isolation, and helped to open up dialogue about issues affecting those who make 50%-75% of teaching staff at colleges and universities nationwide. September 29 will be her national remembrance.
